The Footcare Nail Technician (FNT) is a cutting-edge training program designed and continually updated to train you to work successfully as a nail technician in providing cosmetic services or Routine Foot Care for clients. Your training will be augmented to allow you to safely work with those who have special health considerations. Upon receiving your certification, you will have the knowledge and tools you need to provide safe, careful services for all your clients.
Some nail technicians intend to remain in the salon but desire the added knowledge, skills and resources afforded by the Footcare Nail Technician-(FNT) Certification Program. This course builds upon the foundation laid by the ANT and provides you further information you will need to decide if you wish to provide cosmetic services in a medical setting. This training is the same as the NA Medical Nail Tech but does not require an Internship to achieve your Certification.
***Requires Completion of the ANT Program as a prerequisite ***
With this higher level of safety training, you will have new options to explore with your new skills and knowledge. The Footcare Nail Technician (FNT) Certification is designed to give you the tools you need to better identify and refer your clients to the appropriate medical provider. Your training as a nail technician in providing cosmetic services or Routine Foot Care for clients will be augmented to allow you to safely work with those who have special health considerations.
After completion of the FNT, you may choose to take an optional 40-hour Internship program in order to achieve the NA Medical Nail Tech (MNT) credential. We recommend this portion of the program to help you determine if a career in a medical setting will be one you will choose. Upon successfully completing the Internship, you will earn an additional Certification as a NA Medical Nail Tech (MNT).
